Animating a character in a blockbuster means combining artistic performance with industrial rigor: every shot must hold up in a film seen worldwide. That is Thomas’s daily work.

A member of the animation department at Illumination Studios Paris, he has animated characters in several of the studio’s biggest recent hits: Sing 2, Minions: The Rise of Gru, The Super Mario Bros. Movie and many more. Some of the most watched productions of recent years, where every second of animation is reworked to excellence.

Working with Thomas means learning character animation at the real level of major studios, from someone who practices it every day. He passes on the sense of acting, the reading of weight and movement, and the quality standards that separate animation that works from animation that leaves a mark. He also knows exactly what a studio expects from an animator, and how a young artist can reach that level.
