This is the culmination of the program. After the body, pantomime and the face, Advanced Acting brings all your skills together with a single goal: producing a complete animated sequence, just like in production. Here you no longer work on an isolated shot but on a true narrative scene, from the set to the final presentation. It is the shot that, in a demo reel, proves to a recruiter that you are ready to work in a studio.
For twelve weeks, you are individually mentored by professional feature-film animators. You learn to think a sequence through from end to end, manage a schedule across several shots in parallel, and present your work as you would in front of an animation director.
*To guarantee quality individual follow-up, our classes are limited to 6 students and seats are reserved in priority for full-year programs. When a class is not full, we open the modules individually, on demand.
What you will cover
Part 1: preparation and layout
The design phase, often neglected yet decisive. You learn to lay out your shot, build a set that showcases your characters, construct a narrative through framing, present your animation intentions and plan a sequence across several shots in parallel.
Part 2: animating the sequence
The production phase. You coordinate facial and body animation, animate movement transitions between shots, light the scene narratively and animate a shot over a long period, in near-studio conditions. You finish by presenting your sequence professionally.
